London Snippets | St Paul's

Coat: Pull & Bear | Scarf: River Island | Boots: Next
Ah London, you were a pleasure. A somewhat busy, sweaty, eye-opening pleasure, but lovely all the same.
On Monday of this week, me and mum decided to take on the Big City and see all it has to offer, and that we did. To be honest, the Tube/London Underground, was an experience in itself... SO.MANY.PEOPLE! I'm from a tiny little village in the back fields of nowhere in rainy Wales. So experiencing the same populations as my village on one, cramped tube was something out of the ordinary. First lesson learnt about London: Victoria line at rush hour - havoc!
On Monday of this week, I paid a visit to the Tate Modern, crossed the Millennium Bridge and became mesmerised by the beauty of St Pauls Cathedral
All together I had a very tourist-y day.
As it was inevitable I was going to be walking more than a 26 mile marathon whilst exploring London, I made sure to have some comfy soles on my feet. These over the knee beauties from Next were a delight and there wasn't too much damage once I reached back to the hotel... my bank card however... oops.
All together I was in London for 4 days and I think I wore my coat for a fraction of the time. Second Lesson learnt about London: It so hot! I think, because its so populated, there's enough body heat to be warm enough to walk down any street and only feel a slight chill. After all, the tube has to be the hotter than Spain in peak times!
ps. Stay tuned from London Part 2 :)

Painting Winter

Avon | Dynamo [Similar]
So, its been nearly two weeks since I last blogged, hmm.. Sorry 'bout that.
I'm probably never going to win any proper awards for this little blog thing, but if I was in the running for anything, it'd definitely be for 'The Most Inconsistent Blog'
Blame School, people. Blame School!
In more exiting news, Winter is like, OFFICALLY here! The clocks have gone back an hour here today. Meaning its now an OK thing, to start putting my pj's on at 4 o'clock *ignores that fact I sound like an eighty year old*
With the winter-y vibes creeping in, dark nails are officially a-ok. I don't usually go for anything dark on my nails, in my head anything darker than pastel pink is abnormal.
But as black jeans and thick jumpers are worn more regularly, I feel darker nails accompany them a lot better.
The three nail varnishes above really work well in the winter months and really bring a pop of goodness to any cold day!

Mid-October Favourites

Ok yes, I know monthly favourites are supposed to be an end of month thing, but yano forget the rules.. This is my MID- month favourites. HA!

Firstly is the beaut of a scarf from River Island, it is like thee warmest scarf in the world, which is a big statement, but I feel like a big, warm cinnamon bun when I wear it. Yes, ok Aztec print is soo 2011, but the print isn't that obvious.. so it's ok!
Talking of Cinnamon, I'm absolutely obsessed with the Pukka 'Three Cinnamon' Tea. Move over Pumpkin Spiced Lattes, I think this is the official taste of Autumn/Winter for me.
For ma face, I decided I would venture out more and wear some highlighter, besides, my cheekbones are permanently incognito.. I need to bring them bad boys out! So, I bought Revlon Highlighting Palette in Rose Glow. Its a very shimmery, pink powder and is a nice addition to my make up bag! Finally, some Barry M Confetti Nail Varnish in Marshmallow. I'll put it out there, it is raised once it's on the nail, so if you hate textured nail varnish, it ain't for you gurl. I personally love the touch of confetti on my nails, but I would suggest about 2/3 coats because one coat creates a lot of gaps!

ps. If there is anyone out there that actually reads this tiny blog of mine, I apologise for the lack of content recently, A Levels are a nightmare at the moment! x

Wear your eyes as dark as night, Paint your face with what you like.

Autumn has begun. Its official. No longer do I reach for the ice cold water, Its now piping hot coffee. No longer do I leave the house without a coat, I now have a scarf and coat. No longer do I try and pull off the 'No Make-up, Make-up', I now have the above painted across my face..
Three Staple Autumn Products:
Recently, these three products have been seriously overused..
Eyes: The shade 'Toasted' across the lid completely, with 'Naked' in the crease to blend it all out. These too shades together create a very autumnal eye, as the shade Toasted is a very rose gold shimmer with an undertone of brown, with Naked being a very light, matte brown. Which works perfectly to even out the crease. I finish off the eyes with a simple, thin line of the Lancome, brown liner across the lid.
Lips: To accompany this eye, I've been wearing an old-ish favourite, Rimmel Kate Moss: 107. Its a dark, red wine shade, which again, screams autumn.

(I don't have photo evidence of the look on my face as I've come to the conclusion I'm crap at taking selfies.. sowwy)
