Blog Eighteen in Twenty Seventeen

/ / B L O G  E I G H T E E N  I N  T W E N T Y  S E V E N T E E N \\

Doing an 'end of year review' has become somewhat of a tradition on this blog. I hadn't realised, but I have done a 'Blog Eighteen in..' post for the past 2 years, this years offerings being my 3rd edition. So, in keeping with traditions (as it were) I thought I'd give a little round up of my very topsy turvy year (you'll see what I mean as I talk you through the months!) Ive gone from working in a full time job back home, to leaving, having a great summer and then moving 300 miles away to university in Surrey. Now I'm back home for Christmas, it seems the perfect time to reflect on the, like I said, 'topsy-turvy' year I've had. Having read last years review like this, I had a sudden urge to keep these yearly review posts alive, so sit back and let me talk you through my year.. enjoy!

Snippets of a Festive London..

/ / A  F E S T I V E  L O N D O N \\

Now, as you may have seen by now I'm lucky enough to be going to University very near London. I simply have to hop on a train and 40 minutes later I'm magically in the Capital. So visiting London has become somewhat of a weekly thing amongst me and my friends. BUT, over the weekend I had my mum come down to London for a festive few days (before helping me with all my luggage to come home from uni for Christmas!) So, with playing the tourist over the weekend I thought I'd compile all my snaps and show you the festivities we got up to..

My Colour Palette for Winter

// M Y  C O L O U R  P A L E T T E  F O R  W I N T E R \\

Saying I have a specific 'colour palette' for this winter is a little of a sweeping statement; I of course wear an array of colours. But, in todays post I wanted to write about the colours I seem to have been turning to in the last few weeks. With the weather now officially COLD, trying to say fashionable whilst simultaneously keeping warm enough not to freeze to death in the icy winds has been a challenge. But with the handful of jumpers and layers (and layers) of clothing, dressing for the weather with the help of a colour palette of mostly Cream, Pink and the odd Burnt Orange/Red, winter dressing has seemed a success.. even if my ankles have been numb a few times.

/ / P I N K  A D D I C T \\

Now you may think that the top image is a little jazzier than usually for this blog - I don't usually put an image on a colourful background and badly do some kind of typography, do I? BUT, I'll be honest, being inspired by the people of Instagram (specifically their stories!) I thought, why not bring a little colour to a usual normal photo... As you can see the theme of todays post is pink, this is most definitely not the first time. I picked up a t-shirt off Depop last week, a tee with the aptly name slogan 'pink addict', I mean when I saw it I thought to myself 'if the shoe fits..', having received it earlier in the week I can honest say its my new favourite item in my wardrobe. So what better way to commemorate this? Blog about it of course!

Christmas Magic at the Natural History Museum

/ / C H R I S T M A S  M A G I C  A T  T H E  N A T U R A L
H I S T O R Y  M U S E U M \ \

I'll admit, its taking me a lot this year to feel Christmassy. I know we are yet to tick over into Decemeber but for some reason this year, I haven't had that Christmassy excitement, the build up to this exciting time of year. SO, in a bid to raise my Christmas spirits a trip to the Natural History Museum was in order. We (me & one of my uni friends!) took an evening train, had a wobbly skate around the ring and ended with some champagne cocktails in a snazzy Kensington bar - I'll admit, I ~think~ I've had worse Tuesdays!

BEAUTY | A Tale of a White Rabbit

/ /  A  T A L E  O F  A  W H I T E  R A B B I T \\

Now this is a little exciting, I feel like I've spoken a lot about beauty and skin recently on this blog.. well more than usual I feel. And today is no exception! I'll let you in on a secret; I've always loved bunny rabbits, they've been my favourite animal since as long as I remember and despite calling myself a mature 21 year old, I still receive rabbit themed pj's every birthday/christmas off my mum.. and secret bloody love it. So, combine this with a constant need to keep my skin moistured - low and behold skincare brand White Rabbit! I've been a fan of them for absolutely ages, following on Instagram and recently I bought some more bits to had to my little collection. Fancy knowing a little more, well let me tell 'ya!

Ski Slopes in South Kensington

/ / S K I  S L O P E S  I N  S O U T H  K E N S I N G T O N\\

So as stupid as the title is, it's as true as it suggests - we genuinely stumbled upon a wall in South Kensington covered with a Ski Slope scene. I couldn't tell you why it was there, but it seemed the perfect scene for a quick #OOTD shoot when I was out wondering London with my uni friends. The area is always a delight for the eyes and the fact I finally got an outfit photo of my new (ish by now) dusky pick corduroy trousers, it was actually a great way to spend a Wednesday.. because we all know what colour we wear on Wednesdays, right?!

The Power of a Complete Fresh Start

/ / T H E  P O W E R  O F  A  C O M P L E T E  F R E S H  S T A R T\\

If you've been reading this blog from a while (lool *tumble weed*) you'll probably know by now, I've gone from working full time back home in North Wales to moving to university veeeeery far from home and, well let's say I'm no longer the girl of yester year. Very far from it. Today I wanted to write a little blog post on a Fresh Start, something that's not always easy to do, but if achieved can, in some ways, change your life. I so desperately needed a fresh start like you won't believe. I now, whilst at uni am the happiest I've been for such a long long time, it only took a matter of moving half why across the country... of course your fresh start doesn't have to be THAT dramatic, but this worked for me!

An Autumn/Winter To-Do List

// A N  A U T U M N  /  W I N T E R  T O - D O  L I S T \\

I feel like my life is a continuous cycle of posting a blog post then internally stressing for the next week that I have nothing left to say.. the less I blog the less inspired I get. But nevertheless today I have ~actually~ thought of a post to do - a to-do list for the coming couple of months. Yes, as scary as it sounds.. the coming months are now leading up till Christmas (HOW is life flying by so quickly) I have a couple of trips I need to tick off, a few bits I want to pick up as well as a certain Christmassy coffee cup I must get my mitts on.. of course.

Autumn Outfits of the Week

// A U T U M N  O U T F I T S  O F  T H E  W E E K \\

With it becoming ever colder and the nights drawing in ever sooner, my wardrobe has of course adapted for the Autumn season. As with every Autumn, my boots have been making strong appearances; being honest, summer is never really that much to shout about in this country so its more of a case of 'wearing boots more often' instead of a grand reveal.. never the less, this week I felt like documenting my outfits. I unfortunately don't have the time for elaborate blogger shoots in Notting Hill, so instead you are graced with birdseye shots awkwardly taken on my window sill.. just keepin' it real, guys!

BEAUTY | 3 Fab Cruelty Free Beauty Finds

// 3  F A B  C R U E L T Y  F R E E  B E A U T Y  F I N D S \\

I don't now what it is, but ever since I moved to Epsom I seem to have become so much more relaxed about my spending. Is it the fact I have a decent student loan? or is it partly now because shops are more accessible.. they're partially a 5 minute walk compared to having to drive 20 minutes when back in Wales. Whatever it is, I have picked up some makeup bits lately, something I haven't done for a while. Since they're all cruelty free and all turned out to be great buys I thought I'd share...

Snippets of My Life From The Past Week & a Half

~ Snippets of My Life From The Past Week & a Half ~

I have to say, the quote 'the difference a couple of months can make' could not be more true right now. I have gone from moaning day in day out how boring my life is, having absolutely nothing to do, in a place with not much excitement (lol N.Wales) to having midweek Espresso Martinis in Brixton.. my life has completely flipped on its head. But I have to say, all for the better. I'm probably the busiest I've been for years but its all good stuff, having the pleasure of actually enjoying your uni course and having met great friends too, I constantly having things planned. I may be a person that likes a few hours to herself, but really life is pretty good right now... I of course haven't blogged as much because of the busyness, but today I wanted to share a few little snips of things I've done in the last week.. enjoy!

The Sad Decline of Print.

~ The Sad Decline of Print ~

When was the last time you read a magazine? Do you regularly purchased a magazine, sit down as often as possible and just read, not got distracted by Social Media, did you switch on the TV instead? - This is something that I asked myself recently. I seem to have acquired a handle full of magazines, but actually making the effort to sit down and reading these prints never seems to happen. With Glamour recently announcing they are to stop print magazines and become bi-yearly, it really hit home how much print has declined. Is Social Media to blame? or is it simply a sign of the times? (lol kinda sung harry styles then) Whatever is the reasoning, its very clear print magazine is over the hill and if I'm honest I think we should all be a little sad by it..

Wondering Belgravia

~ Wondering Belgravia ~

Remember I did that post a few weeks back were I was all 'I'm going to be back blogging regularly!!' .. Well that is the plan but at the moment, with uni etc. I'm just a bit busy (I know right, such a lousy excuse) but I am trying, haha! - Anyway, I visit the beautiful Belgravia over the weekend with a couple of uni friends and visited the pink wonderland that is Peggy Porschen.. and I'm blogging about it; SEE at least I have 1 post to give you this week..

~ London Lovin' ~

As you may know by now, I'm now all settled and well into my university degree (well, its coming up to a month since I moved here!) and as I am luckily enough to be studying at a university that is a literal stones throw away from the capital city, I have spent many days on the train and exploring the heart of London. Its been a combination of having actual projects to do in various places there and being too exciting that I can jump on a train and be there before I know it. As I've spent so many days (well it feels like it anyways) in London, I have ~ of course~ taken way too many photos - so many Instagram-worthy photos! I simply wanted to put together a post of a small handful of places that I've visited and loved over the past 3 weeks - enjoy!

A Sunday in Chelsea

 ~ A Day in Chelsea ~

I may still be in the bubble of being a fresher at University, you know; when coursework and deadlines haven't really it yet. When everything is still a bit new, so stress doesn't seem to really hit you at all.. well as I am well and truly in this bubble right now, what better way to exploit the fact you (for the first time ever) have the privilege of jumping on a train and being right in the heart of London in a blink of an eye.. On Sunday, me and one of my oldest, bestest friends met up for a day in Chelsea. Probably one of the snobbiest, wealthiest places I've ever seen - we had brunch, got our nails done and generally had a good ol' girly day out - why not, eh? Come, in November/ December when deadlines actually ~do~ hit, this'll almost impossibility - so Sunday seemed the perfect day to trapes around the Kings Road...

Blog Eighteen 2.0

~ Blog Eighteen 2.0 ~

Now I didn't know if calling this blog post Blog Eighteen 2.0 was a little bit dramatic, because usually people 'relaunch' or get back to blogging after a long long period, well for me its been 3 weeks.. but I have had a certain new lease of live and have randomly sat down and wanting to write. Since starting University last week, everything has been a little bit busy. I've had the stress of sorting everything out back home before I leave, moving here, settling in, socialising, starting the course... I haven't had time to really want to blog at all. When my real life is actually interesting I can quite easily distance myself from the internet..

The Conclusion of Everyday in August (31)

~ The Conclusion of Everyday in August ~

That's a wrap! I challenged myself at the beginning of August to ~try~ and blog everyday this month and yano what? I gave it my best shot. Ok yes, I may have failed a tiny tiny little bit in the past week - with some days, come 7am, there being no blog post. But, despite this, the first 3 weeks of August I did manage a post near enough everyday whilst on holiday for two of the weeks. For this I give myself a pat on the back! As this challenge has taken up a large chunk of my time this month, I felt it was only right to give it a conclusion. Talk you through some of my favourite posts and well, finish 'Everyday in August' properly...

August Favourites | Everyday in August (29)

~ August Favourites ~

I'm sorry, the last week I've been a little bit inconsistent with blogging everyday... I'll just give you that lame excuse that I've been busy and haven't had time to blog. Shall we move swiftly on and I'll talk you through a few favourites of the month? Yes let's do that! Over the month of August I seem to have picked up a few beauty bits, read a few magazines and as you've probably seen.. travelled a little bit. August has probably been my favourites month of the year so far. So, to concluded this glorious month, I wanted to do a little bit of a summery post. Of course Everyday in August will get an official summery on Thursday, the last day of the month. But today, I wanted to do a little highlights post, because why not - like I said, I seem to have had a blast the past few weeks!

From Paris to Berlin | Everyday in August (27)

~ From Paris to Berlin ~

Never in my life did I think I'd actually carry out the actions sung by yano, those people, whoever it was.. you know the song 'From Paris to Berlin and every disco I get in...' ANYWAY, in the past few weeks I've been to both Paris and Berlin, now I thought to myself a little life catchup was needed. After being home just under a week I know have a whole lot of stuff I need to sort out, my life is going to be a little busy. So, why not tell you all about it, yes?!

CHOP CHOP | Everyday in August (25)

Now, despite me blogging (near enough) everyday this month, its been a while since I've actually taken proper outfit photos. With being on my holiday(s), life's been a little busy but finally I've had a few days to myself to catch-up and finally take some photos. Today, I wanted to show you what must be one of my most casual outfits - well 'dressed up casual' I like to call it (HAHA) I recently bought some new accessories and chopped the bottom of my long leg white wash jeans. So, in todays post I thought I'd chat a little about these... enjoy!

Converting to Liquid Lipstick | Everyday in August (24)

~ Converting to Liquid Lipstick ~
I can't believe I've got to August 2017 and am still yet to have tried a single liquid lipstick. Actually, that's a little bit wrong. Years and years ago I bought the Rimmel Apocolips 'lip lacquer' because at the time it seemed a new revolutionary thing. It was crap. It would bleed up my lips and not dry.. so so bad. BUT, fast forward a good few years, makeup has come a long way. Liquid lipstick (along with highlighter) is having its moment and I am ~finally~ in love and on the bandwagon!

Next Berlin Part 2 | Everyday in August (22)

~ Next Berlin ~
Part 2
Here I am, back with Part 2 of my Berlin snaps! As I said in yesterdays post, I didn't want to make my Berlin posts too bulky, so I have split them up.. here is the other 2 days we explored the capital. We visited the Aquarium, The Botanical Gardens, grabbed a bite to eat in a German wine bar were we literally had no idea what we were ordering.. very interesting experience! We finished the holiday with a hungover day by the Berlin Cathedral.. the best way to finish
 a holiday, right?!

Next Berlin Part 1 | Everyday in August (21)

~ Next Berlin ~
Part 1

Aaaaand that's trip number two done! Over the past fortnight I've been to 2 European cities and feel very lucky but incredibly tired right now! Having returned from my trip to Paris with my mum on the 10th, I was back on the plane to Berlin with my friend on the 14th.. oh I'm such a traveller. Today I wanted to share part one of my trip to the German capital. I've never been to Germany at all, so I was very excited to see what it had to offer. In total we were there for 3 whole days (with 2 days travelling) and between me learning my Year 9 German had well and truly been forgotten and lots of sight seeing, it was an extremely great week!

The Glory of Switching Off | Everyday in August (19)

~ The Glory of Switching Off ~

As I sit on the bed writing this, in a hotel room in Berlin I genuinely feel the embodiment of relaxed. Surrounded by a skyline I've never seen before, with people I (hopefully) have never met before, my only worry is what sight I'll be seeing today or what we'd like for lunch. There's nothing like being somewhere you don't know to really feel the glory of switiching off.

Round-up of Everyday in August - So Far! (18)

~ Round-up of Everyday in August - So Far! ~

Well hello there, today is the 18th of August which, to be honest, is a little scary that we're over half way through the month. For me, it feels like yesterday I started Everyday in August (and doesn't feel like that long ago I was planning this whole thing!) So today I simply wanted to do a little round up of my posts so far this month. Unlike I did with Blogmas last year, were I did a weekly round up every Sunday, I'm doing a little round up of the past 18 days.. (minus one day I didn't manage to get a post up.. I'd been on holiday ok leave me alone hahaha)

How I Keep Myself Well & Motivated | Everyday in August (16)

~ How I Keep Myself Well & Motivated ~

I'm all for taking care of myself. I seem to have seen the phrase 'Self-Care' being used a lot on social media and blogging lately and I very much am all for it. At the end of the day, you only have yourself so taking care of your body and keeping well is essentially. With this I always tend to find if I'm feeling well I'm very motivated with it. So today I wanted to write a few points as to how I keep myself Well and Motivated. Of course everyone has their down days, but I do like to be a positive thinker and keep well.

My Journey with Alcohol | Everyday in August (17)

~ My Journey with Alcohol ~
As I am only around a month away from my 21st birthday, it will mark 3 whole years of illegally being allowed to buy alcohol. In these 3 years (and a couple of years before #rebel) I feel like I've had an up and down journey with alcohol, from being sociable and loving it whilst in sixth form, to hating the whole 'going out clubbing' thing - to now, loving it/ hating it all at the same time.. its been up and down but I finally feel like I've found how to enjoy myself, whether alcohol is involved or not..

Á Paris Part 2 | Everyday in August (15)

~ Á Paris Part 2 ~
Welcome back! Ready for yet more photos of my trip to Paris? COURSE YOU ARE. Today I have some key places we visited on day 3 & 4 of our trip. This included the beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg, Notre Dame and the ~original~ Diptyque store. Unlike the previous day (day 2), it didn't pour down with rain for the final 2 days of our trip, so these photos are a little less dull (although I have tried to edit the other photos to appear brighter!) hope you enjoy my little snippets of Paris..

Á Paris Part 1 | Everyday in August (14)

~ Á Paris Part 1 ~
After going on about it for what felt like an age, I finally went on my early-birthday-present trip to Paris, AAAH. In all honesty it was the best trip I've been on for a long long time and I completely fell in love with the city. Me and my mum spent 4 (long) days there, walking miles and exploring everywhere we could think of. Despite the rain (yeah it kinda rained for 2 days lol) it didn't dampen our spirits as we saw everything from the Eiffel Tower to the Arc De Triomphe as well as the less ~busy~ places.. I really did have the BEST few days.

The Feminism Edit | Everyday in August (13)

~ The Feminism Edit ~
Girl Power? Every time. More and more am I seeing these types of t-shirts about. 'Feminist. 'We Should All Be Feminists'. 'Feminism'. More and more is it being used, less and less is it being stigmatised. We should obvious all be feminist. Why should you think you shouldn't be. Men and Women are literally equal, why would you think otherwise.

A Parisian Stationary Haul | Everyday in August (12)

~ A Parisian Stationary Haul ~
Whilst in Paris this week, I seemed to have picked up quite a few stationary bits. Whether I ~actually~ need them or not is another question, but when I saw these bits of stationary sitting pretty in various shops, I couldn't resist. Do I really need paperclips with pom-poms on? Probably not. But when you're buying things with a different currency, the price of things seems to be irreverent. 12 euros for a small notebook? - seems fine when you have no idea how much 12 euros is in pounds HAHA.

My Favourite Instagrams of the Moment! | Everyday in August (10)

~ My Favourite Instagrams of the Moment! ~
Now it seems lately that Instagram seem to be on their own little self destruct mission. It seems once they change their algorithm Instagram well and truly went to shit. No, I don't want to see a photo from 3 days ago, how about one from 3 minutes ago first?! So, to spread a little positivity, I thought I'd put a quickly little post together on 5 Instagram blogging ladies I have loved lately, with every post or Insta stories I have found myself liking most or (if I forget from time to time) simply scrolling through their feed simply thinking 'how have they made that photo look so nice?!!' ..

Let's Talk 'Brows | Everyday in August (9)

 ~ Let's Talk 'Brows ~
Now it seems, since Cara Delevingne graced the stage a few years back with here truly uh-mazing thick eyebrows, the world has gone crazy. Every gimmick imaginable has been dreamed up to achieve the perfect brow. Gone are the days of the 90s were it seems thin/ over-plucked brows were the ones, now its all about the thick, full of life 'perfect brow'. I of course haven't been blessed with the best of brows, but they aren't as sparse as they could be -  overall I wish there were more hair there but I can live with it. Today I wanted to show you my very minimal brow routine that, admittedly does not take a life time, but I seem to find it never lets me down...

A Few Pieces on My Topshop Wishlist | Everyday in August (8)

~ A Few Pieces on My Topshop Wishlist ~

Fantasy shopping, a sport I am near Olympic level good at. The past few weeks I seem to have really really loved EVERYTHING on the Topshop website. Whether it be every top in the 'New In' section or the pretty bags in the 'Accessories' bit.. everything is just making me cry slightly because I really do need to start saving my pennies now. BUT, there's no harm in having a little browse from time to time is there?!

The Book List #9 | Everyday in August (7)

~ The Book List #9 // Everyday in August Day 6 ~

Everyone loves a good book, agreed?! There's nothing like tucking up in bed, all cosy (whether it be Summer or Winter) and getting lost in the storylines, the characters, the plot - forget real life. For a while now, I'll admit, I haven't been in the reading mood. Each night I wanted to sleep, not read. But, having wandered into WHSmith on a whim, I spotted 'Paris for One' by Jojo Moyes. Being a fan of her previous work (surely you've heard of Me Before You) I couldn't resist picking it up and getting struck right in..

Staying Safe in The Sun | Everyday in August (6)

~ Staying Safe in The Sun ~

We are not all blessed in life. Some are graced with that sun-kissed skin that once placed in front of the beating sun, continues to darken and a sudden glow appears... and some like me are given pasty skin that burns when even looking at the sun through the window. In keeping with this, I thought I'd put a post together about my best friend when the summer sun hits: Sun Cream. Tips on how I ~try~ to avoid those painfully red shoulders or Rudolph-like nose that I have so often developed as a child.. Some of these tips you may know, some may be brand new news, but having been that person who has been as red as a post box in the past, I feel like nowadays I have some tips as how I avoid it.

For Those Summer Nights | Everyday in August (5)

~ For Those Summer Nights ~

Self-admittedly I am a girly girl. If every I see anything pink - my eyes are drawn. So, with this in mind, imagine me when I was scrolling through the NEXT sale last week. This Mango dress popped up, in all its fuchsia pink glory for near enough half the price off. Yep, as you can tell I quickly snapped it up.

Let's Drink Frosés! | Everyday in August (4)

 ~ Let's Drink Frosés ~

I've had it in my head for quite a while now. The fact that I NEED to make Frosés - probably says a lot about me really doesn't it, the fact I haven't stopped thinking about making some for of alcoholic cocktail, I just love me some rosé!  As I'm now off for the Summer, making Frosés at 4pm yesterday (a Wednesday haha) seems completely fine - primetime drinking would you say?! So, I reached for the Barefoot (there isn't any better wine brand in my opinion), cut up a few strawberries and despite them not being extremely ~frozen~ as the name suggests (I ran out of ice) the end result was pretty darn nice!

Thoughts on Ouai 'Clean' Shampoo & Conditioner | Everyday in August (3)

~ Thoughts on Ouai Shampoo & Conditioner ~

A few weeks back I wrote a post about beauty bits I had picked up lately. Within that post I briefly talked about these two products - the Ouai 'Clean' Shampoo and Conditioner. Having heard lots of people chat about these in the ol' Blogosphere I was ~compelled~ to buy them, when things look pretty on Instagram its very hard not to want a piece of the action..

LOLLIPOP | Everyday in August (2)

Well it seems strange now, being back with an outfit post.. its surprising what a couple of weeks away can do. I almost seem refreshed. But, with it now being Day 2 of Everyday in August (Ooo I'm doing well so far!) I thought I'd show you a dreamy playsuit I picked up in Next a few weeks ago. I's comfy, its linen and it striped baby pink and white... that's a very good recipe, agreed?!

Welcome to Everyday in August (& Catch up!)

~ Welcome to Everyday in August ~
Well hello there, or rather, welcome back! My blog has been a little quite over July, my life seemed to actually be quite busy for once, full of exciting things, so the blog took a back seat.. BUT, as you can tell from the title, this is all going to change, as I plan to blog every day in August! I say 'plan' because there is always that doubt in the back of my mind that it wouldn't be possible. Saying that though, I managed Blogmas last year while simultaneously working full time.. so as I've now finished my full time job this 'Everyday in August' should be a doodle ~she says~

A Splash of Summer Blue

~A Splash of Summer Blue ~
Well hello there, I took a week away from this blog last week because, being honest, I just wasn't feeling it. You know when you feel like you're too engrossed in something and everything about that thing starts to irritate you.. well that. BUT, fast forward a week or so and that blogging bug is back, I took some little outfit pictures of what I wore over the weekend.

A Paris Fitting

~ A Paris Fitting ~
Now, I will admit I have being go on a bit of social media that I'm going to Paris soon, every so often I get this pang of excitement at the realisation that I'm be in the capital in a under a month now! YAY. So, in the Paris spirit I thought I would do a little fashion post about the various dresses I've bought recently and very much plan on wearing over the 3/4 days I'm in the capital..

June Favourites

~ June Favourite for 2017 ~

Wow, the first 6 months of 2017 are over.. of course I understand the concept of time (lol) but seriously, how the hell did that happen?! In todays post I wanted to reflect on the month of June, showing you I few bits I've loved, in an absolute blogging classic by now... a monthly favourites!

New Beauty On The Shelf..

~ New Beauty On The Shelf.. ~

Rather then saying 'New Beauty On The Shelf' I really should be saying 'New Beauty On My Shelf' because as ever I'm late to whatever trend is happening.. these products I've picked up recently perhaps are already established.. or maybe by some minor miracle I may be a little early to a party. Whatever the conclusion, I went shopping whilst in Liverpool last week and a few purchases were made. For once I was very tame with my debit card but that didn't mean I didn't treat myself to a few bits.. I can't go to a big city and return with nothing...

The Return of The Denim Skirt

~ The Return of The Denim Skirt ~

Well denim skirt, its been a while. You've been hanging in my wardrobe for a long long time now, untouched. I've seen you daily but not thought to wear you... well your time has come brother, you my lovely denim skirt, you are finally making a return.

A Short Liverpool Photo Diary

 ~ A Short Liverpool Photo Diary ~
A took a little trip to Liverpool on Tuesday to visit my cousin (who lives very near) - we spent the shopping, drinking a lot of cocktails and having a lovely catch up. I thought, although I didn't take masses of photos, I'd still share some photos of my trip... I've never actually done a 'photo diary' blog post before but I hope this isn't too short and actually still counts as one. Anyway, here are a few snippets for ya!

Its Been (Over) Three Years of Blog Eighteen!

~ Its Been (Over) Three Years of Blog Eighteen! ~
So, I won't lie I completely forgot about my blogs anniversary. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure of the exact date, but I do know it was 2014 I started and I do know it was some time in April of that year - meaning, its been over three years of Blog Eighteen! I thought, as I have only ~just~ realised this kinda monumental celebration, I want to chat a little about my blog, what's changed and just a general trip down memory lane.. enjoy!

China Plate.

~ The China Plate Dress ha ~

Now being British, its very hard not to mention the weather right now. If you aren't from the UK, we have been blessed (or cursed) with incredibly hot weather, which, despite it being lovely, no one really knows how to deal with it. My house at the moment is waaay to hot to be comfortable and sleeping at night is difficult... but hey hoo, like I said, as I'm British, as soon as the weather turns cold again we'll begin the complaining all over again... Anyway, as its v v hot at present, I dug deep in my wardrobe and found this beautiful china plate patterned sun dress that I'd completely forgotten about - well, it very much got all the love it deserved over the weekend!
