A Tale of an Outfit from a Mirror.

~... Because Going Back to Basics Isn't a Bad Thing Sometimes, Is It? ~

Anyone out there who blogs.. I have a question for ya: do you ever get extremely bored of how you take your photos? Do you form a kind of routine of how you take certain kinds of posts, i.e. if its a beauty/ product post you shot it this way, or if its fashion, this way... and so on? Well I'm one of those and boy did I get bored of how I shot my outfit posts. As I don't have the privilege of taking photos in fancy locations or from snazzy angles; my conservatory (which I will admit has thee best lighting) is my only back drop. So this time, in an attempt to jazz up an outfit post of sorts, I shot these in my mirror.. I have to admit, I actually much preferred it to the usually way of take pictures and even may do this more in the future. To be honest, the main reason I like the outcome so much may solely be down to the fact its different - I for one always loves a change...!

... So whilst I jazzed up my setting, why don't I talk you through my outfit shall I! As I mentioned in my previous outfit post, I wanted this year to be the year I dress I little more elegantly. Not feel uncomfortable with my look, toning down if it gets too much. But with this look, although perhaps not as elegant in person - pattern trousers must be styled with caution! I felt, with the top having a tiny details of burgundy, it went perfectly with my ~bold~ bottom half. I must apologies now, I didn't get a very good shot to show my trousers properly.. but have you ever tried to get a decent shot of your trousers before, its a bit difficult haha!
Anyway,  I felt very good in my ~kinda~ matching top and trousers. I wore this outfit last Sunday to go out for Tapas with my mum, boy that food was GOOD!.
So here we are, a little changed up blog post.. I have a feeling this will not be the last time this style of post will be used. Sometimes, trying something new really can pay off!

  1. Yes I know what you mean when you get bored! I'm currently in that photography rut right now. If you've read my latest post you'll understand ;) I love how happy you feel in this outfit, and I think that's the most important part about clothes- feeling good in them. I have a pair of ripped jeans and a white sweater that I've now called my "happy outfit" as I just love how confident they make me feel. xx
