Its Been (Over) Three Years of Blog Eighteen!

~ Its Been (Over) Three Years of Blog Eighteen! ~
So, I won't lie I completely forgot about my blogs anniversary. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure of the exact date, but I do know it was 2014 I started and I do know it was some time in April of that year - meaning, its been over three years of Blog Eighteen! I thought, as I have only ~just~ realised this kinda monumental celebration, I want to chat a little about my blog, what's changed and just a general trip down memory lane.. enjoy!

I actually chatted about how I started blogging a few posts back. It was through the usual, reading lots of blogs and thinking I would give it my best shot. I started when I was knee deep in my A Levels - not a happy time for me. It was actually months of blogging only slightly, once I was free of the hell that was revision and exams, that's when I really blogged 'properly'. From here, I've kinda switched from the whole beauty blogger 'thing' to developing enough confidence to take outfit photos. I was actually think of this the other day, at the fact I used to find it awkward not smiling for the camera. Posing and not smiling (as you do in pictures) was very alien to me. But as my confidence has grown, posing is a little easier.

I will admit though, something that hasn't changed much is where I take my pictures. I still don't venture out of my house, my conservatory is still thee place (or sometimes my garden) I take my photos. Whether this be a flat lay or any outfits - it the place to be! This is something I really want to work on, but to be honest I  don't have the people around me to take blog photos - when I'm with my mum I think I'd be awkward and when I'm with my close friends I always prefer to concentrate on seeing/ catching up with them - its lose/lose at the moment! BUT, its one of those things, despite the fact my locations haven't changed, I 100% have seen a development in the quality of my photos.

I started with my Samsung Galaxy S4 and over a year ago, invested in a DSLR. Now, my camera may be on the cheaper side , but I have started to find the right settings and don't tend to ever use Auto mode - so for a tech novice like me, I will pat myself on the back. As you can see down below I have changed a lot in the past few years - especially from 2014 to 2015, I have never noticed but I seem to have changed SO much haha! But, I have to say I have had a ball with this ol' blog thing. I may have had motivation dips from time to time, but on the whole I very much find this so much fun.

... here's to the next 3 years!!!
