I don't now what it is, but ever since I moved to Epsom I seem to have become so much more relaxed about my spending. Is it the fact I have a decent student loan? or is it partly now because shops are more accessible.. they're partially a 5 minute walk compared to having to drive 20 minutes when back in Wales. Whatever it is, I have picked up some makeup bits lately, something I haven't done for a while. Since they're all cruelty free and all turned out to be great buys I thought I'd share...

---------------------
I have to ask, did you know New Look
did makeup? More specifically good makeup? Well I didn't. Until I ventured in there a
few weeks back, only to come across the strobe highlighter palette, then later
once at the till, discovering they had a 2-for-1 offer on, so I quickly picked
up the matte liquid lipstick too. I have to say, I am amazed at their quality.
As I've never thought to buy highlighter before, when I saw the powders in the
pretty silver case, I thought it was about time. At £7.99 it doesn’t
break the bank either – same goes for the liquid lipstick; they’re all so
affordable. The highlighter isn’t the most pigmented, but it certainly isn’t
the worst on the market. I specifically love the middle shade – it’s a pretty
pinky/iridescent shade, it really adds a lovely touch to the cheekbones.
For the liquid lipstick, I picked up
the shade Raspberry, which is a dark purple colour. Its quick drying, doesn’t
feel dry on the lips and very long lasting. I’d say it definitely rivals the
Huda Beauty liquid matte – but half the price!
The final product I wanted to mention is a palette I picked up from Nip
& Fab. I have mentioned this in my previous post but thought I’d include it
here. It’s a collection of 12 shades, 10 matte and 2 shimmery shades. All
browns, with a couple of lighter shades. It’s become my favourite palette, as
the darkest shade is perfect for my brows and the darker shades are perfect
this time of year.. it’s a new favourite!
