With studying a fashion course at university, I always feel a little overwhelmed with the fashion industry as a whole. This trickles down to the clothes I decide to wear, what I post on social media and even the types of posts I decide to put on this blog.. I'm forever questioning, is this fashion enough? Well, in keeping with this I thought I'd try and make more of an effort to show my everyday outfits/new purchases... a little like what I used to do on this blog, before uni took over! This includes a lot of pink and a new lilac purchase from a few weeks back, as spring is round the corner now so it's time to dig out the lighter shades!

Lilac isn't a shade I often turn to. It doesn't exist much in my wardrobe, despite how nice of a shade it is. I always tend to turn to pink. But, having done a quick browse of ASOS (as we all do..) a few weeks back, this lilac Monki sweater popped up. Being very cheap and being so pretty I couldn't resist a purchase. Of course I should be keeping spending to a minimum with being a student and what not, but you know, you have to treat yourself from time to time. Its in quite a thin material but not see-through at all. I've styled it numerous ways since buying it, mainly with jeans or cigarette trousers; it's become an everyday basic I can throw on but because of the lovely colour its dressy enough to seem I've made an effort - perfect!
On this occasion, I styled it with some trousers and my beloved cream knitted cardigan (the one my Nain knitted herself! (grandma)) with this, I thought I'd jazz up an everyday outfit with some tassel earrings; this trend may be dying out slightly now but I still love my pink tassels I bought in the Next sale last year. On my feet is another new purchase (oops) but with good reason. I ordered the Stella McCartney-esque/ creeper-esque shoes with a Christmas voucher about 3 weeks ago and I seemed to have not taken them off since. They compliment this outfit perfectly.. well any outfit really. As their in a light pinky/nude colour their incredibly versatile and comfortable too. I managed 4 whole days in Amserdam and they didn't rub once.
How does the saying go again?
"Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world"
